Master in environmental engineering and engineering of chemical and biotechnological processes

MASTER IN ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING AND ENGINEERING OF CHEMICAL AND BIOTECHNOLOGICAL PROCESSES

SPECIALITIES

  • Academic.
  • Professional in Chemical and Biotechnological Processes.
  • Professional in Environmental Engineering.
  • Research.

OBJECTIVES

Academic:
To contribute to the training of university and non-university teachers, increasing the number of professionals with high qualifications in this field, who can access the different levels of teaching.

Professional:
To improve the development of professionals of our field of influence, so that they can access quality studies to specialise in aspects which are essential for the present society. Such aspects are, for example, the incorporation to the chemistry sector of advanced processes and work techniques that are respectful with the environment as well as the productive activity and the general environmental aspects, their scientific base and their solutions.

Research:
To train researchers in technologies applied to the development of activities in chemical industries and productive sectors, integrating environmental considerations into the inherent control and care technologies. To incorporate new doctors to the research groups of the Department, improving their research ability and therefore that of our university and our whole society.

STRUCTURE OF THE MASTER

In the training period, the student will have to do a total of 80 ECTS credits, of which 66 will correspond to subjects from the four thematic modules, apart from the training period and the corresponding assignment or project of each speciality (14 ECTS credits in total). The Master has academic, professional and research itineraries, all of them with a duration of 80 credits (of lesson period).
Next, the subjects that integrate the four thematic modules are shown: Methodological Basis (I), Chemical and Biotechnological Processes (II), Environmental Engineering (III), and Organisation and Management (IV), with an indication as to the number of ECTS credits, whether the subject is optional (O) or core (C), (according to the speciality studied, i.e. academic, "A", professional, "P", or research, "R") and the term in which it is taught (first or second).
