Presentation:
The Cajamar-Caja Rural- Polytechnic University of Cartagena Chair for agrarian cooperativism - offers service and collaboration with all the agents and institutions related to agricultural cooperativism (companies, representative organizations, administration, etc.), pursuing these main objectives:

* promotion and development of managerial cooperation in the agricultural sector.
* improvement of competitiveness of associative agricultural companies.
* The coming together of agricultural companies in general -cooperatives in particular- and the University.

To achieve these goals, the main activities of the Chair must be developed in four fronts:

1. 1. Teaching, through the organization of courses, seminars and conferences; and carrying out end of studies projects and training in companies.

2. 2. Research aimed at improving the management and competitiveness of agricultural cooperatives, carrying out studies, doctoral theses, etc. related -among other topics- with:

* good management of cooperatives.
* social responsibility of companies.
* management of human resources.
* new information technologies.
* growth formulas (mergers, cooperation, etc.).
* efficiency of cooperatives.

3. 3. Popularization of the Chair's activities, transfer of obtained results and promotion of agricultural cooperativism through the publication of monographs, books, etc. and the institutional Web page.

4. 4. External Relations, through collaboration with the different agents and institutions related to agricultural cooperativism (cooperatives, representative organizations, public administration, educational and research centers, etc.).
